About

From a childhood filled with stop-motion experiments, Drew Lightfoot has always created at the intersection of imagination and precision. That early spark ignited a filmmaking journey spanning continents, genres and generations of visual storytelling.

As a director and animator, Lightfoot has worked across feature film, commercial campaigns and immersive storytelling. His credits include animation work on iconic films such as Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie, as well as directing visually striking projects for global brands or crafting immersive films like Horizon and charity:water’s cinematic narratives, Lightfoot doesn’t just create content, he builds visual worlds that move people.

Early collaborations with visionary filmmakers such as Tim Burton and Peter Jackson helped shape a creative fingerprint that blends technical mastery with emotional depth.

Today, Lightfoot brings that experience to his work as a director, animator and creative leader, combining art, technology and story to build visually rich worlds that resonate with audiences. Based in New Zealand and working internationally, he continues to lead multidisciplinary teams across animation, live action and immersive media, pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling.
